We Pride ourselves on our BS EN 15713:2023 accreditation

This standard has the following requirements which we follow to ensure total customer satisfaction

  1. Confidential destruction premises
    1. Must have an administration office where necessary records and documentation is kept for conducting business.
    2. The premises should be isolated from other business or activities on the same site.
    3. Organisations should have an intruder alarm installed to EN50131-1, monitored by an alarm receiving centre.
    4. A CCTV system with recording facilities should monitor the unloading, storage and processing areas. The images should be retained for a minimum of 31 days unless otherwise agreed with the client.
  2. Contracts
    1. A written contract covering all transactions should exist between the client and the organisation.
    2. Sub-contracted work should only be allocated to companies following the recommendations in EN15713:2023.
    3. In every case, clients should be informed if sub-contractors are used.
    4. The data controller should:
    5. Choose a data processor providing guarantees in respect of technical and organisational security measures.
    6. Take reasonable steps to ensure compliance with these measures.
  3. Personnel
    1. All staff should be screened in accordance with BS7858.
    2. All staff should sign a deed of confidentiality prior to commencement of employment and annually thereafter.
  4. Collection and retention of confidential material
    1. Confidential material to be collected should remain protected from unauthorised access from the point of collection to complete destruction.
    2. Collection should be made by uniformed and suitably trained staff carrying photographic identification.
    3. The destruction of confidential material should take place within one working day from arrival at the destruction centre.
  5. Vehicles (off site)
    1. Should be either box bodied or have a demountable container.
    2. Where a curtain side vehicle is used, material should be transported within a suitable sealed secure container.
    3. Should be able to communicate with home base by radio or telephone.
    4. Should be fitted with electro-mechanical immobiliser or alarm system.
    5. Should be closed and locked/or sealed during transit.
    6. Should be immobilised or alarmed when left unattended.
  6. Vehicles (on site)
    1. Should be box bodied.
    2. Should be fitted with lockable and/or sealable doors.
    3. Should be able to communicate with the home base by radio or telephone.
    4. Should not be left unattended when unprocessed material is on board.
  7. Environmental issues
    1. Where practicable, end products should be recycled.
    2. If recycling is not practicable, the cost and convenience of other methods should be taken into account.
    3. Landfill should only be used where no other method of disposal is practical.
